As elbow is a joint where three bones meet, any injury related to the compartment of any of the bone will cause pain in elbow.  Within the elbow joints, we have the arm muscles, elbow ligaments, tendons, bones in the arm as well as bursae. Any of these got irritated will cause pain in elbow.

The common elbow conditions are Medial Epicondylitis and Lateral Epicondylitis. Medial Epicondylitis also known as the Golfer’s elbow or Little League’s elbow.  The repetitive throwing motion used in baseball and the downward swing of a golf club are the causes of pain in elbow. The tendons in the forearm muscle connect to the bony part on the inside of the elbow, due to overuse or repetitive actions causing irritation to these tendons. They became swollen and painful at the inner part of the elbow and aggravated further when activities involve the usage of arms or wrists.
